A remote AI assistant for project work
Project work does not always begin at the computer that holds the repository. This internal platform accepts a task through chat or email and lets its operator return to the execution history and result.
The assistant runs on the operator’s own computer. It connects local and external models to authorized repository work, checks and delivery of a result or an authorized release.
- Who it serves
- An owner managing projects and assigning work to their own workstation remotely.
Two channels, one job
Execution and delivery
The diagram distinguishes work on a job from delivery of the response through a contact channel.
- Acceptance
- A message leads to a recorded job.
- Execution
- The selected executor performs authorized work.
- Result
- The work result is recorded separately from sending.
- Delivery
- The response reaches the channel associated with the conversation.
Browser chat and email threads are convenient places to start work, but the message alone should not be the only record of a request. The operator needs a durable job, execution status and a record of whether the response was delivered.
The system accepts instructions within the operator’s permissions and routes them to an appropriate executor. Depending on the task, the executor can work in a repository, run relevant checks and present the outcome. Changes are released only within the authorized scope.
- Two ways to get in touch
- A browser conversation and an email thread feed into the same job handling process.
- An accessible history
- Stored conversations, jobs and attempts help the operator see what was accepted and where the work stands.
- Deliberate delivery
- Producing the result and delivering it are separate steps, which matters when email encounters a problem.
Processes on the operator’s workstation

The platform runs as supervised processes across Windows and WSL. Separate processes handle mail, HTTP, execution and chat, while jobs and their states are stored locally.
Profiles and adapters route work to local GPU models or paid providers. The operator can choose an execution profile suited to the task and receive the response in the channel associated with the conversation.
Scope of responsibility
Atomic Concept is responsible for the concept, architecture, implementation and maintenance of the internal AI assistant platform.
Division of responsibilities
Separate processes handle contact channels and execution using locally stored jobs.
- Handles correspondence.
- HTTP and chat
- Handle browser communication.
- Execution
- Routes work to an executor.
- Local storage
- Stores jobs and their states.
- Accepting a request
- A message creates a durable job that can continue after the browser session has ended.
- Repository work
- An executor performs authorized actions and checks; the result can include changes or a report.
- Handling interruptions
- Process identity and job state help determine how to recover after a stop without automatically repeating work.
State, recovery and executors
The central concern is being able to reconstruct what happened and distinguish completed work from a message that still needs to be delivered.
- Durable storage
- SQLite in WAL mode stores conversations, jobs and states. Transactional intake and an outbox connect state changes to subsequent handling.
- Separate states
- Execution and delivery have distinct statuses, so an email failure does not mean the work should be repeated.
- Supervision and recovery
- Process identity and persisted state support recovery after interruption without blindly replaying operations already started.
- Interchangeable executors
- Adapters and profiles route tasks to Ollama, llama.cpp or paid providers according to the available environment and task.
